Inulin is a dietary fiber, which at an intake of 12 g a day can help you reach the recommended 25 g of dietary fiber a day. Inulin is easy to take as it can be dissolved in liquid. Mix it in a glass of water or in a cup of hot tea, where after stirring it is completely dissolved. Inulin can also be used in eg cakes and thus give your baked goods a higher fiber content.
* Inulin from chicory root contributes to normal bowel function by increasing bowel movements. The beneficial effect is achieved by a daily intake of 12 grams.
Use: 6 g (about 1 teaspoon) inulin:
Dissolved in 2 dl of water with thorough stirring can be taken twice daily. Inulin can also be sprinkled on yogurt, mixed
in smoothie, a cup of tea or used as a partial substitute for sugar in cakes, muesli bars etc. Not recommended for use in yeasty baked goods.
Storage: Dry and not in sunlight.
